Fantastic! Mosr curious about why Delos is collecting guests’ DNA and how all the hosts ended up in the water. Are they dead or in a staye of sleep? Do we know jow water effects the hosts? Not sure we’ve sen the effects of water yet? Also, the drone hosts were creepy. Wondering how that will evolve, if at all.
Excellent start to the series! At least this season the producers have the two time periods be quite explicitly separate from each other unlike trying to hide the fact in S1. Which makes me wonder if they will try and be sneaky again and slip in a 3rd time period!
The mention of multiple parks again intrigues me so much. The Bengal tiger would indicate that another of the parks has a setting that is replicating the area around India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Be very interesting to see what that theme is all about!
Also, with the mention that Maeve's daughter is located in a "family friendly" part of the park, could there be other attractions that are not necessarily violent but cater to more regular entertainment like zoos?
@Cmoyer Regarding the collection of guests' DNA and experiences, I think Westworld may be packaging and selling guest data as part of their business. I'm likely reading too deep into this, but the show's writers may be making a statement about the commoditization of user data (stuff that is super relevant with all the talk about Facebook, etc.). And YES—the drone hosts were super creepy. Can't trust anything without a face. I can definitely see them disobeying soon 🤗.
@Cavalier One Totally. Loved the whole reintroduction of Man in Black with the flight scene to putting on the cowboy hat. I'm super excited to see more of the other parks as well. As for that bit about a "family friendly" part of the park, I think that was just to say it was more of a Little House on the Prairie-esque, PG setting versus parts of the park that have brothels and where the more violent story arcs take place.
I wonder if they are all feigning sleep in the water so they can be transported out of the park?thoughts?
@Simplymev10 Yeah, I definitely think they were pretending. I was expecting them to wake up and attack the humans.
Pretty interesting theories about the hosts found in the water towards the end of E1, although I'm more curious about how they got there and how Bernard ended up near the water where he was found to open the episode.
I'm also super interested to see how Dolores gets into the city and whether or not that's another park. Agreed with Cavalier One that it's fun to see the two time periods right from the get go and agree it could be a distraction for them to slip in a 3rd!
Also, why do you think they are trying to extract Peter Abernathy?
@Rickybobby1 I was actually thinking about that earlier today and found this article. Seems so obvious now lol.
great article, thanks for sharing! There are so many small details to keep track which is one of the many reasons why I love this show!
What do you think?
