I'm inclined to side with FlaLadyB on this. Dolores has very different hair to Bernard, is often seen wearing blue. Bernard, by contrast, never wears blue.
but....William has blue eyes, so he would look good in blue
I don't think you're taking this discussion seriously enough.
I mean, can you imagine William in blue? It would look as if the 70's had arrived to claim him.
but...I know I look terrible in blue. Washes me out. Blue on William would make his eyes just POP! Put a nice blue shirt with a deep grey suit....yes...
he looks....almost ...human!
FlaLadyB - Let me explain my theory (and it is just that of course: Arnold's favorite was Delores, his child so to speak. In Episode 9 we learn the Maeve is Ford's Favorite and he calls her his child! now watch - Arnold DID have Delores kill off all the hosts and him once, so it is plausible because of his 'hatred' of humanity and there interference with the hosts. Arnold aka Wyatt.
Maeve see things very differently: Her line to Delores sums it up, "Revenge is just another prayer at their alter, darling!" Now Maeve is truly the "higher being" that Ford keeps talking about - the evolution of man - 'the most murderous, unscrupulous beings ever created" She wants her child and is truly destined for achieving all of the emotional and technological advances that humans don't have! PER FORD!
Bernard is a REPLICA of Arnold created by Ford. Whereas, Arnold hid secret code in Delores....what do you think??
do you remember why Arnold had all the hosts killed and had Delores kill him and herself? He didn't want the hosts to become awake and be taken advantage of in the real world in the state they were in. He didn't hate humanity, he simply preferred the simplicity of hosts and a controlled environment. Arnold is not Wyatt. Wyatt is a host that did appear in the beginning. Teddy remembers him and his killing rampage. Dolores, in one of her rebuilds, was given Wyatt. That is what has been coming forward all this time with her starting to use a gun and then getting totally immersed in his style. Bernard was made by Ford, not to be a replica, but to be like him as best as he and Dolores could remember. Hence, Delores bringing him back on line to test him while she was growing herself. Whether Arnold hid anything in Delores is up for grabs. I don't think we've seen anything concrete that screams ARNOLD. But, then again, we never met him. We only have what Ford says about him and Delores remembers.
FlaLadyB - Ahhhh, I see what you are saying, about Arnold wanting to protect the hosts in the park environment. Ok, but I remember that Ford put the Wyatt (story) memories in Teddy...so Wyatt is conceivably Ford's game for the Hosts and guests. But Maeve - Ford taught her how to wake herself up and gave her the access she needed to start controlling other hosts with her mind. This coupled with maeve's emotional, intellectual and technological advancements make her truly the higher sentient being over the homo sapiens. Remember Felis told Maeve that the humans and the hosts were exactly the same except for their "brains" or the CPU in Maeve that is well beyond anything that a human has...make any sense?
Also, what am I missing about the color blue and Delores wearing it? How does this relate to Arnold?
Dolores was modeled after Alice in Wonderland --she even read part of the book to Arnold
