"Crisis Theory"[]

Following on from William's promises to rid the Earth of Hosts, he points a gun at Bernard and Stubbs, ultimately shooting Stubbs. Bernard ducks to find cover and whispers to himself to "remember yourself", seemingly turinig off his emotions and causing him to attack, and defeat, William.

Bernard is confronted by Dolores' men.

Bernard and William are interrupted when the Police — or so he thought — arrive. They are actually a team working for Dolores but led by Lawrence. They hand Bernard a briefcase and tell him that he must go see "her" — Bernard assumes this to be Dolores summoning him. He puts Stubbs in his car and drives to the address he is given.

At the address, Bernard tells Stubbs that he is going to talk with Dolores. Upon entering the house, however, it becomes clear that he is not visiting Dolores, but Arnold Weber's wife, Lauren Weber. Bernard looks around at the photographs and notices that a boy in the photographs — Charlie Weber — is familiar. It becomes apparent that Bernard's back-story was based on Charlie and Lauren. Bernard talks with Lauren, who believes that he is Arnold, before leaving for a nearby motel.

Bernard enters the Valley Beyond.

At the motel, Bernard tells Stubbs that he finally realised what Dolores put inside of his head — the key to the Valley Beyond. From the briefcase he pulls a device similar to the one used to access the Forge. He puts the headset on and is seemingly transported within the Valley Beyond.

An unknown amount of time later, Bernard awakens in a room full of dust. It is assumed that numerous years have passed by since Bernard entered the sublime.
