Westworld Wiki

Howdahs are traditional, animal-carried land vehicles, used for transporting people and small amounts of equipment. They are constructed of wooden materials and lashed to the backs of large beasts of burden.

Elephant-carried howdahs are used in The Raj, the sixth and latest of the Delos Destination parks, based on 19th century colonial India. They carry guests on hunting trips in the park's wilderness. As with all animals in Delos Destinations parks, the Indian elephants are host replicas of the real creatures.

Westworld Season Two[]

"Virtù e Fortuna"[]

Elephant howdahs are seen early in the episode, carrying Emily, Nicholas and hosts representing native Indian servants to a hunting camp in the park.
