Thanks, and the info in the fillmoregazette is fascinating. It hasn't occurred to me that someone would go to the trouble to build a fake steam engine, I'd assumed that it would be an actual steam engine - on reflection, it's obvious (now) that working with a real stream engine when filming would be a great deal of trouble.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anything there, other than from yourself in the Disney wiki, that said that it was the Constitution that was used in Westworld - and that's really what we'd be looking for before we can say in an article that it's the same loco.
It's ok if that's not available, we'd just have to change the wording of the trivia section so that its obvious we're not claiming something we can't back up.
Hello Mike I see your point and its hard to find such an article my claims are based on careful observations and frame by frame comparisons. Tho now heavily modified it still retains some trademarks to say thats it the Constitution from The Lone Ranger. I can point out similarities between the 2 if you like they are small but when side by side and shown threw its progression from then until its used in Westworld.
Until it's confirmed from the Show its self witch will more then likely never happened we can only say what we know from Pictures and my word. Yes they made it a dummy unpowered being pushed from behind thats why you never see the full view of the train in Westworld only in CGI back drops do you see it as a hole train. Its a small part of a much bigger story I liked the surprise seeing back on the screen thinking that it was just going to sit in storage for years that's why I did so many comparison to the one production still picture of it in Westworld and that is to me enough to say thats it %100 the same. But I leave it up to you as to what you want me to do next weather you want me to hight light the similarities between all 3 The Constitution The Advil Express and the Black Ridge Limited are all one and the same like a host being reused over and over. But I under stand the postioin that is faced.
I've spoken with one of our senior users (Schieftan) the person I go to whenever I need to discuss this kind of content issue.
We think that it would be better to handle this the way we do all references to expert material. To have a relatively short comment in the article with a link (a reference) to a page that is not on the Westworld wiki, and to have your 'case' (for the locomotives being the same - with comparison photos) presented on that other web page. Ideally this would be a site used by people with the same interests as yourself but could be your own blog or website, etc.
How does this sound? I'd be more than happy to lend a hand laying out that page or blog entry if you like..
Hi sorry I have not been around like work etc I am trying to add a pic or make a gallery of the Black Ridge Limited Fillmore & Western Railway have posted a pic with other trains they have I wanted to add the caption "The Black Ridge Limited on the right behind the scenes currently owned by the Fillmore & Western Railway" I also have found a web page showing the the history up until it came to West World http://thefillmoregazette.com/front-page/shooting-huge-headache .
