  • Hi, hope you're well - you've certainly all been busy.

Loving the new environment. I'm editing at TheHauntingOfHillHouse.wikia.com and I'd like to get more involved.

    • Great! I could use all the help I can get. =) What would you like to do? I'm currently working on episode summaries but character pages could use some work.

    • Ok, I'll (probably slowly - uni assignments are due) work through the characters and cast members

Is there a way to define or modify infoboxes in CB yet? For ordinary mortals I mean.

    • Awesome! Which infoboxes were you thinking about editing? So currently the only way to modify infoboxes is if you follow these instructions: (Three dots menu) -> Manage Community -> New Type -> fill in the page name, description, and infobox with whatever data you want to appear when you create a new page of this type -> Save" I know it sounds a bit confusing but we are trying to make that functionality more discoverable.

    • Ok, thank you. I wasn't thinking of one in particular, I realised that CB was more than a new UI over a wikitext based wiki, and was wondering how the CB site was configured.

From your description, I haven't tried it yet, it looks as though new page types with infoboxes can be created by not edited?

Edit: Nope, I see now,and it looks good.

    • I really like how you can require a link as data in an Infobox, that's a significant step forward.

Is there any way to require/allow this:

      Hugh Crain, father

Where the first two words are a link and the last word is just text? (or one choice from a list, even better)

Can the link be limited to members of a category?

    • How do you set up a #redirect so that you can show two names referring to one character/location etc?

    • Good morning! Sorry for the delay! Here are the answers to your questions:

Yes, there is a way to specify that two actors play one role. You can set a row to “allow multiple answers” in the page type editor. Unfortunately, we can only add one image at the moment but we are working on being able to add two. Also, currently there is no way to redirect.
