I enjoyed it but have some different thoughts on parts of I was reading on other sites. Haven't got to reddit yet, but... lots to ponder from this. Why did it take 12 days for the people outside to get there? They still have power- the elevators work and apparently everything in Charlottes little secret hideaway. How did Charlotte manage to even have a hideaway? I'm sure Ford knew about it since he doesn't miss anything. He just keeps it to himself till the right time.
Flood...lots of others think it was a flood. I think the water is what Ford was working on when he was digging and exploding everything that we saw in Season 1.
Boy- so many didn't even mention that the Boy was Fords voice and had been set up specifically to go to the MIB after his death. You're in my game now.
I am going back to the opening of Season 2 as I need to take a look the droid woman with the baby, the other scenes piercing an egg?, and then an embryo? Apparently, it seems they are "making" their own race. That is, Delos is. Back to the taking out of live (or dead) human minds and placing it in droid bodies. The reason for them collecting all kinds of data from the visitors to Westworld all these years. The promise of Life Forever? You can go back to your human life and nobody would ever know the difference. That would also be a reason for taking Dolores etc out to a cocktail party. They had been waiting till the ability to do that was viable. Makes me ask what was the original reason Ford and Arnold were there to do.
Bernard - he stayed confused and quietly hiding by not saying anything more than necessary - except with his face. Started losing fluid and knew enough to replace it. Odd. Had he been lying there in the water for 12 days too? He had the wine glass next to him so, yes. Wouldn't it seem odd to the others to find him this way? Unless, of course, they are not human either, except the swat team. Why were the hosts, and Bernard, at the water in the first place? AND since the swat team people came in from the water and their ship was sitting out there...and no, I didn't miss the "my island" reference. But when you have an "island" that huge you will have creatures there - flies, birds, etc. and rain and storms (which we never saw). ....anyhow.....lots going on.
I have watched it 3 times now and still learning. Never a dull moment - well, Dolores kinda was.
Oh...and seeing Teddy dead floating in the water broke my heart. Did Dolores do a Wyatt and shoot him? How did he get there? what did I miss?
I think we see Charlotte's secret hideaway very early on, the day after The Gala, I'd suggest. She's still wearing that distracting dress which she would have changed as soon as she could and he, tellingly, still has his glasses - so it's before Bernard On The Beach for sure, because he loses them there.
Charlotte - yes she still had on the dress from the party. That dress comes to mind in a prior photo where we only see Bernard, a droid, and her (not clearly) in front of a Westworld sign. Bernard wasn't shot at the party since he was also escaping the chaos with Charlotte and some other guests. But he did not have his glasses when he starts waking up in the water, with a wine glass in the water next to him. Two time lines? That look of "I've been here before" from Bernard. Him saying," I've killed them all". They do love to screw with our minds with time line changes.
with Strand even showing up makes me think he's a host too since last we saw him he was captured by the Indian group....again....a different loop. Ford even said he had revolted before and so had the hosts.
backtracking a bit--- all the things that happen on the beach see too contrived to a point of putting on a show ....for Bernard? I did kind of think of why all of the hosts ended up at/in the water though. When Bernard was with Charlotte in her secret bunker he had his pad "looking for Abernathy"....but actually was sending out directions to all the hosts to go to the valley (that he thought was dry) and gather there to escape the massacre. What he planned to do after that is anybodys guess. I guess he didn't know about the water that was there now re: I killed them all. But, how did HE end up there in the water?
the new one- 3? I watched it 2 1/2 times last night to see what I may have missed. New character that I thought realllly looked like a young Theresa but apparently is a new important "experienced guest" AND a new Westworld Destination! Dolores was boring -
