Wyatt was 'seen' by Teddy Flood when recalling his Massacre at Escalante backstory (a backstory that Robert Ford gave Teddy as a small part in Ford's new narrative). It is revealed in "Dissonance Theory" that Armistice has a score to settle with Wyatt. Armistice states that Wyatt has "many names". It is revealed in The Bicameral Mind that Arnold and Ford had planned on making a host by the name of Wyatt, and they had created a persona and narrative for this Wyatt. However, Wyatt's persona was instead given to Dolores Abernathy by Arnold Weber to enable her to massacre all of the hosts in Escalante (the beta-testing town with the white church), and kill Arnold.

"The Well-Tempered Clavier"

Wyatt is seen in both Teddy's backstory, and again in the memory that Teddy has in which he remembers killing Angela. In the newly elicited memory, Teddy and Wyatt massacre all of the townsfolk, including Angela.

Personality

In Teddy's memory of the massacre at Escalante, Wyatt is a psychopath. He, with the help of Teddy, murders an entire town. He is also the leader of a cult. Right before Angela 'kills' Teddy, he recounts how Wyatt was charismatic and how he inexplicably manipulated Teddy into committing the murders. (Teddy smiles when he recalls how Wyatt had a hold over him.)

Wyatt's skills with firearms and his ability to fire a gun came to the surface a few times for Dolores. Once was when Dolores and William were surrounded by Confederados in Pariah. Another time, was when Ghost Nation tribesmen were pursuing her on horseback. And yet another time was when Rebus was threatening to rape her in the Abernathy barn. At the end of The Bicameral Mind, Dolores seems to embrace Wyatt's mission (as described by Angela), and she chooses to assassinate Dr. Ford.

Relationships

Teddy Flood

When Ford first gives Teddy a backstory, Teddy seems to hate Wyatt for massacring an outpost at Escalante. However, later Teddy reveals that Wyatt convinced Teddy to participate in this massacre. Teddy further states that after all of the soldiers were killed, Wyatt killed the general and then turned on Teddy and killed him as well.

According to Angela, Wyatt has a great interest in Teddy. After looking into Angela's eyes, and being prompted by her, Teddy realizes that the people that were massacred in the town (by himself) were not soldiers at all, but townspeople, including Angela (and a man with the badge of a sheriff or deputy). Teddy also remembers that he wasn't wearing a Union uniform, but instead was wearing civilian clothing and a badge.

Armistice

Armistice hates Wyatt, and says that she has a score to settle with him. She says that Wyatt has "many names". Armistice's village, including her mother, were killed by a group of men led by Wyatt. She has a score to settle with him. She killed all of the men responsible for the massacre at her village except for Wyatt. She supposedly used their blood to color in sections of her snake tattoo. Only the head of the snake is left uncolored. This area she is saving for the 'blood' of Wyatt.

Dolores Abernathy

Arnold altered Dolores right before his death, and merged her with a new character that he and Ford had been developing. This character was that of Wyatt. It is unknown if there are any personality traits from Wyatt's configuration that were added to Dolores by Arnold. However, in her fight with the Man in Black (both inside and outside of the white church) she seems to have both a man's strength, and a soldier's fighting skills.

Notes/Trivia

  • Teddy says that Wyatt was a sergeant. Later he says that Wyatt was his sergeant. However, in the 'memory' that we see while Teddy talks about his new backstory (while with Ford in the Mesa Hub), the man shown firing a pistol only has two stripes on his uniform jacket (two stripes is the rank of corporal). In a later episode, during the 'memory' that Teddy has of Wyatt, we see Teddy also participating in the massacre at Escalante. Teddy is shown wearing the three stripes of a sergeant in that episode.
  • Armistice claims that Wyatt has "many names".
  • On the DiscoverWestworld.com official Westworld website, the host Aeden revealsl: that Wyatt is Dolores, she chose to kill Dr. Ford, and that Wyatt has arrived.
  • It is likely that no physical Host was created for Wyatt as he was in development when his personnality was merged with Dolores by Arnold Weber.
